Do you have an EPD for TRUECORE® steel?
Yes, we have an Environmental Product Declaration for TRUECORE® steel. It provides transparent information about the environmental impact of TRUECORE® steel over its life cycle. EPDs can support customers in achieving certifications such as ecolabels and rating tools (eg Green Star), which can be beneficial for projects requiring sustainable credentials.
Is there initial or ongoing movement of steel frames?
There will be no initial shrinkage or swelling of a frame made from TRUECORE® steel as there is no absorption or drying of moisture in steel frames. Steel frames will not shrink, twist, or warp over time so there's less chance of sticking doors, window jambs, nail pops, and uneven roof lines due to frame movement.
Are steel-framed houses thermally efficient?
A frame made from TRUECORE® steel can be lined, insulated, and clad in various ways to achieve the desired thermal and acoustic properties.
