New 'Hall of Frame' Case Study: Topsteel Solutions
November 11th, 2019Topsteel Solutions was engaged by Stevens Construction for a new addition at the Glengara Retirement Village, on the NSW Central Coast. The project included 70 individual units across two-levels and Topsteel Solutions was originally only engaged to complete the second level frames and trusses. However, their contract was quickly extended to include both levels after working with their engineer to eliminate the suspended slab from the design. A change that saved Stevens Construction both time and money.
Mathew Dean of Stevens Construction said, “The main benefits were the cost efficiencies, speed and the ability to fabricate more offsite reducing the risk of the weather affecting time onsite. The other key benefit was the ability to rough in services earlier and take the load off this phase of the project."
