With a team of over 16,500 people at 160+ sites worldwide, our passion lies in harnessing the strength and versatility of steel – one of the world’s most useful, durable and recycled materials.
In 2004 we launched TRUECORE® steel, an innovative light gauge steel framing product that has reframed the way Australians build their homes.

TRUECORE® steel, alongside other well known brands like COLORBOND® steel, is made to all relevant Australian standards. It's rigorously tested for quality and consistency throughout the production process to ensure its longevity.
TRUECORE® steel is supported by a 50-year warranty* for eligible applicants, which provides reassurance that we don’t just make the product, we back it.
Responsible manufacturing
TRUECORE® steel is manufactured at BlueScope’s Port Kembla Steelworks in NSW and Western Port in VIC, which are both certified to ResponsibleSteel™ Standard Version 1.1. ResponsibleSteel™ is the steel industry’s first global multi-stakeholder standard and certification initiative. This provides our customers with confidence that BlueScope meets the highest Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) performance standards.
