Weeks Building Group and SUPALOC® Steel Frames
Weeks Building Group builds houses exclusively using framing made from TRUECORE® steel
If you’re looking for someone with experience in framing made from TRUECORE® steel, Kevin Weeks, Managing Director of Weeks Building Group would be a good person to talk to.
"SUPALOC® steel frames use a patented system to connect truss to truss; the whole thing clips together. And the value in that is tremendous because the frame is completely straight and true, and, of course, it’s faster for the subcontractor.”
Case study
If you’re looking for someone with experience in framing made from TRUECORE® steel, Kevin Weeks, Managing Director of Weeks Building Group would be a good person to talk to. Weeks Building Group not only builds houses exclusively using framing made from TRUECORE® steel, but they do so using their own unique framing system, SUPALOC® - a system that is designed and manufactured in-house. It’s an inspiring story, as each step of the way, Weeks Building Group decided to convert to steel and bring the development and manufacture of their frames in-house in order to achieve the quality solution they were after. And the hard work has been worth it, as since the transition to offering SUPALOC® framing made from TRUECORE® steel, the impact on the business has been positive. Mr Weeks talked us through the story:
“Within 18-months of developing the initial steel framing system, Weeks Building Group moved from offering both timber and steel framed homes, to offering steel only. And as homeowners’ appetite for steel frames grew in those early stages, Weeks’ grew too; increasing from 80 homes a year, to over 160 in the first year of offering steel frames."
And the increase in demand for SUPALOC® steel frames has continued to grow, as demonstrated by SUPALOC®’s expansion throughout Australia and the world. SUPALOC® now has domestic plants in South Australia, New South Wales, and Queensland, with plans to expand into Victoria. Overseas, SUPALOC® and Weeks Group are also active in the UAE and the USA – the latter expansion coming after receiving an invitation from the State of Connecticut to set up operations there.
