Modular construction

Modular construction and DfMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly) projects are helping to advance building practices that are cost-effective and efficient.

A division of Western Australia’s award-winning Summit Homes Group, Summit Modular has taken the concept of Tiny Homes to a whole new level using frames made from TRUECORE® steel at its core.

How TRUECORE® steel has advanced construction techniques

Precision engineered, lightweight and strong, structural framing made from TRUECORE® steel provides the durability, integrity and consistent quality needed to build standardized components that are easy to manufacture, assemble and transport.

Fast and precise CAD/CAM integrated fabrication

Digital integration of CAD/CAM software with advanced fabrication machinery makes off-site fabrication of light gauge steel framing fast and precise. Framing systems include software and design support for engineering as well as fabrication machinery to ensure complete and seamless production that minimizes waste and reduces the cost of prefabricated framing.

Reusable and cost-effective

Lightweight, strong and extremely robust to withstand the rigors of lengthy transport, modules made from TRUECORE® steel can be quickly assembled on-site, reducing project timelines and at the same time offering reusable and cost-effective building solutions.

Reliable performance and supply are the keystones of modular construction

“One of our really good selling points is that we use frames made from TRUECORE® steel. Our houses are delivered anywhere from 15 kilometres to 2500 kilometres away, so they have to be very strong to withstand the rigours of many hours or days of travel.”
