Tom Williams new brand ambassador for TRUECORE® steel

A genuinely exciting addition to the TRUECORE® steel story is our new brand ambassador Tom Williams. 

One of Australia’s most loved media personalities, Tom’s background as a carpenter, his genuine interest and experience in building and his down to earth, approachable manner work seamlessly together to make him a perfect fit for TRUECORE® steel.

Tom first became known to the Australian public when, while working as an onsite carpenter in Sydney, he would regularly call in to the Merrick & Rosso radio show with his witty observations. Appreciating his natural warmth and laconic humour, the radio duo quickly adopted ‘Tom the Chippie’ into their show. From these unexpected beginnings, Tom rose to national prominence on both Nova FM, as resident carpenter on Channel 7’s Room for Improvement, and as a roving host of Channel 7’s The Great Outdoors, amongst other high profile TV and radio gigs.

Tom’s role with TRUECORE® steel will involve him helping homeowners understand the importance of the house frame decision and also help bring to life the many advantages of TRUECORE® steel for builders, frame fabricators and homeowners. This will include informative online videos, targeted TV, radio, outdoor and print advertisements, as well as a series of key industry events around the country.
